Lesspain Software today announced workflow improvements in its popular media management and workflow solution, Kyno for Adobe® Premiere® Pro. The enhancements in the upcoming version – Kyno 1.7 - improve metadata handling, logging, proxy and dailies workflows. Tags, ratings and other fields can be automatically updated in XMP of the respective files when sending selected content to Adobe Premiere Pro, a leader in video editing.
You have valuable markers, tags, keywords, ratings, descriptions your editor added in Premiere Pro in the course of their project and you want to use that metadata in other projects? You want to make your stock archive more valuable when browsing it in Kyno? Import XML files exported from Adobe Premiere Pro into Kyno and choose what to merge into Kyno’s metadata set.
You’ve had an assistant editor log important information in long proxy clips and want to transfer that metadata to the original master clip? It’s as easy as copying effects in Adobe Premiere Pro. Just use the new “Paste Metadata” function in the context menu and you’re done.
With the new "keep folder structure" option in Kyno's transcoder, you can export a proxy or dailies version of an entire folder structure for your client, director or assistant editor in just a few clicks. In combination with Kyno's metadata import/export/merge functionality you can implement proxy-based team metadata logging workflows at an unprecedented level of efficiency.
“Our users from the Adobe Premiere Pro community have been waiting for this for a long time and we are thrilled to finally deliver,” says Robert Krüger, managing partner at Lesspain Software. “There are Adobe Premiere Pro users in documentary, fiction, corporate and social media who have adopted Kyno as a solution for simple and practical media management for individuals or teams as well as their logging solution of choice. Now, with the latest improvements in metadata support and the new round-tripping option, we feel we have given them the full end-to-end workflow solution they have asked for.”
